Cutest Favor Ever!

gumball favor

This has to be the cutest favor that I have ever seen in my life!!! I love gumball machines and I think all your guests will too. Even if they are not found of gum the nostalgic design is sure to bring them back to their childhood begging mom for change to get some gum. These would also be super cute gifts for the ring bearer and the flowers girl. I just love them!Check it out!

These cute chocolates would also make a great gift for your bridal party. I am sure the flower girl and ring bearer will LOVE this but make sure you give it to them after the wedding! Check it out!

Who Pays for the Flower Girl’s Dress?

flowergirl

Traditionally the little one’s parents pay for the dress. However, times have changed and sometimes the bride and groom fit the bill as an act of gratitude. If the parents are paying for the dress try to keep the dress in their price range. You may offer a choice of a few dresses so that they can choose one that is more in their budget. Keep in mind that the Bride and Groom do pay for the flower basket, any petals for the basket, and any flowers that you want in her hair.

This vase pictured above is a great idea as a gift or for the décor of your wedding. The glass vase holds one 4×6 picture and you are able to customize the top line to say anything you want. This would be a great place holder for the bride and groom’s bale. Have your new names engraved or bride and groom and add an engagement picture and you have a one of a kind place setting! It can also be saved and used as a great decoration for you home after the wedding, either keeping your engagement picture or replacing it with your wedding picture.Check it out!

An Atmosphere of Romance

Warm up a winter wedding by creating an atmosphere of romance. A ton of candles will create this atmosphere with a far less coast than flowers. Arrange tea lights around your flowers or on your tables. Have pillar candles in various heights in special spots around your wedding. Use floating candles in a bowl with Rose blossoms, is a striking centerpiece. A great and unique way to make an impression is to light the pathway of your guests with candles. Arrange candles in Plexiglas boxes on the porch deck and hang then from the roof with ribbon, lighting a scenic path for guests departing the reception.

Announcing Donation Favors to Your Guests

A huge trend in weddings is offering a donation to a charity instead of wedding favors. I love this trend and think it is a great alternative to all the favors you spend so much time on and half the people leave on the table! They end up going to waste and while they are pretty, your guests don’t need them. At least this way you are spending your money on something someone needs. I have found that many wedding guests really enjoy and appreciate this new trend. So how do you let them know you are giving a donation instead in lieu of favors? One option is to leave a note at each place setting. Another is to frame a note at each table. If you contact the charity you are donating to you will be surprised at how accommodating some will be. They may provide you with a certificate, cards for each guest, or even pictures or other materials. Also wording the cards can be a bit difficult so I have added a few examples.

“Thank you for sharing this day with us. In recognition of your love and support, we have made a donation in your honor to ________________. We appreciate you being apart of our special day.”

“A donation has been made to the _______________ in loving memory of ____________. Though we can not see you we know you are there. Though we can not touch you we feel the warmth of your smile. As we begin this new chapter in our live (your names).”

“With much thought and consideration, we have chosen a special way to say thank you for sharing our wedding day. In lieu of traditional favors we have made a donation in your honor to the ______________. We feel that the finest gift is one that helps others live longer healthier lives.”

“In lieu of wedding favors (your names or we) have decided to make a charitable donation in your honor to the _____________. So others may feel the gift of love present this day.”

Remember these are just ideas. You may take these or reword them however you feel. When you are making a donation in the honor of someone it is up to you if you would like to announce that to your guests. The most important thing is that your are comfortable with the wording.
