How to Get Full Lashes From Smashbox

lashes

I am always looking for ways to make my eyelashes seem fuller. So while browsing the web I found this little tip from Smashbox.com. Check it out and I hope it helps you like it helped me!

1. If you want lush lashes without clumps then start with a primer, like our best-selling LAYER LASH PRIMER. Lori says primer is far more crucial to creating longer, thicker looking lashes than your mascara. “Mascara is harsh on lashes,” explains Lori. “That’s why primer is so important because it protects and coats lashes, and helps the mascara go on smoothly.

2. Use a volumizing mascara such as our LIMITLESS LASH MASCARA (it also has a gentle remover on the other end), and wedge the brush right into the roots of the lashes, and wiggle it back and forth. Not only does this make lashes look thicker but it also acts like an eye liner creating a line across inner rim.

3. Use a curler. Make sure you get a high-quality curler that matches the curve of your eye. Wait at least five minutes to allow for mascara to dry before curling (so lashes don’t stick together), then gently squeeze for ten seconds: first near the roots, then in the middle of the lashes, and finally right near the tips. This creates a gorgeous swoop shape.

4. If you want even more lash then fake it, try cutting a band of our MAXI EYES LASHES in half and applying to the outer corners of the eyes Source

Every bridesmaid is different so be sure you keep in mind there personalities while choosing a gift. Remember, you don’t have to get the same thing for all of them; however it is a lot easier if you do. It is completely up to you. It is simply a gift to show your gratitude. To help you on this journey I have listed some gift ideas for your bridesmaids to get your wheels turning!

·        Make a handmade friendship book for each person, filled with photos and other mementos of the years you’ve spent together

·        Give them each a book which you picked out special for each person. Inside the front cover, write a personal note highlighting memories shared. It was a very thoughtful, and relatively inexpensive, gift. You can also add a monogrammed Book Mark

·        Find charms attached to a ribbon and place them in the cake at the bridesmaid’s luncheon or bridal shower. Each bridesmaid pulls a ribbon and the charms have meanings (clover = good luck, wedding bells = next to get married, high chair = your life will be blessed with children). As a gift at the end of the luncheon, give them a CHARM BRACELETS!

Get the Look Bridal Make-Up from Bobbi Brown

There are a ton of cosmetic retailers out there that will give you great tips to achieve a great wedding look. Bobbi Brown is one of those resources. They give you step by step instructions to achieve the look they are displaying. Of course they are trying to get you too buy the make-up to achieve that look. However, it is cheaper to buy the make-up and do it yourself than to get it done in the salon. Plus you will have all the make-up on hand, if you need any touch-ups. The one thing I would say about doing your own make-up on your wedding day is to practice and try a couple different looks to see what you like. With that said here is the step by step on how to achieve the look pictured above.

  1. Eye Cream- Pat a lightweight eye cream, under the eyes to smooth skin and prepare it for concealer.
  2. Moisturize- this will give you an even application of foundation and prevent cakeiness in those dry areas.
  3. Concealer- Concealer brightens up your face and lifts your look in pictures. Apply Creamy Concealer Kit on dark circles using the Concealer Brush. For extra-dark circles, start with a Corrector, then layer on your regular concealer. Never apply concealer on eyelids; it will cause eye makeup to smear and crease.
  4. Yellow Toned Foundation: Flash photography emphasizes pink tones, so be sure to even out your skin with a yellow-toned foundation. Start around the nose and mouth where there’s redness, then blend out to the rest of the face.
  5. Powder: Powder is a wedding day essential. Set concealer and foundation with Sheer Finish Loose Powder to make them longer-lasting and to ensure that skin looks matte in pictures. Keep Blotting Papers in your purse for touch-ups throughout the day. These powder-free papers absorb excess shine while leaving your makeup looking flawless.
  6. Eye Shadow- Sweep a light Eye Shadow from lashline to browbone applied with the Eye Shader Brush. Follow with a medium shadow on lower lid using the Eye Shadow Brush.
  7. Eye Liner & Mascara- Define eyes with black or brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner on upper lashline with the Ultra Fine Eye Liner Brush. Match with a black or brown Eye Shadow along lower lashline with a slightly damp Eye Liner Brush.

To open up eyes even more, curl lashes before applying mascara. Finish with two coats of Lash Glamour Lengthening Mascara.

  8. Blush- For a pretty flush that lasts through the ceremony and reception, use two shades of Blush. Bobbi recommends using a touch more Blush than usual to avoid looking washed-out in your wedding day pictures.

Apply a neutral Blush on the apples of cheeks with Blush Brush, blending up into the hairline, then downwards to soften. Finish with a pop of brighter blush, just on the apples of cheeks.

Great Tips from Bobbi Brown

For fresh, dewy cheeks, opt for Cream Blush Stick. For a sheer stain on cheeks, use rosy shades of Pot Rouge For Lips And Cheeks.

Neutral and pale lipsticks look washed out in photographs, so choose a Lip Color that’s one to two shades brighter than what you normally wear.

To make lipstick last longer, line and fill in lips with Lip Liner before applying your lipstick.

For precise application, use a Lip Brush to apply your lipstick.

Finish your look with a touch of Lip Gloss to make lips look fuller.
