Unique Guest Book Option

well

A guest book doesn’t have to be in the form of a book. The bright hues of these small gift cards can’t help but beguile the eyes of wedding guests; their small size gives well-wishers just enough space to write a sweet thought, quip, or hope; and the envelopes, allowing for privacy, encourage them to get a little sentimental. Use a clear vase or bowl to hold the sealed envelopes; after the wedding, the opened envelopes can be glued facedown into an album so that the cards can be easily removed and reread.

Table-Number Centerpiece

bucket numbers

Here is a great little idea from MarthaStewart.Com!

Enamel pails overflowing with fresh green and white hydrangeas are charming for an informal reception table. The buckets do double duty as table numbers with the addition of numeral stickers. Self-adhesive vinyl numbers are available on the Internet in many sizes, colors, and typefaces. Tiny pails that echo the shape of the centerpiece are filled with pistachios and prop up the place card at each setting. The rim of each pail has been colored with black permanent marker to match the black numeral and the text on the place cards.

Coffee Bean Centerpiece

coffee beans

I am completely and utterly obsessed with coffee, but that is not the only reason I love this centerpiece idea. Adding coffee beans to a centerpiece adds texture and interest to flowers. The candles resting in a pile of coffee beans also add a nice touch and incorporate well with the centerpiece. When the candles are lit, the aroma of coffee is sure to fill the air. Yum…. Plus, adding the candle design will save you a lot of money in the way of flowers!

Ribbon Seating Display

ribbons

For an all-frills setup with little fuss, slip seating cards in between rows of ribbons. Cover foam boards (ours are 20 by 30 inches) with satin and grosgrain ribbons; randomly layer narrow ribbons over wide ones. Pin the ribbon ends to backs of boards, inserting straight pins at an angle to secure. Slip in envelopes by their flaps or bottoms.

Bridal Shower Idea~ Purse Seating Cards

purse

Want to make a big impression as the hostess for a bridal shower? Then you have to have these cute little seating cards. These purses may not hold guests’ belongings, but they’re a charming way to designate their seats (table numbers are written inside). To make these cute little purses, use 3 1/2-by-5-inch folded seating cards (we used pink for women, brown for men). Unfold cards. With a utility knife, cut 2 slits wide enough for ribbon in the fold, 1 inch from each edge. Insert ends of 3-inch-long ribbon into slits; it will stay in place without gluing or tying.

sand dollar

If you are having a beach themed wedding, then sand dollars can make the perfect escort card. If you are close to the beach then go for an excursion! Go hunting for sand dollars and once you have enough collected simply prep them by placing them in bleach water. If you do not live near a beach, or if hunting sand dollars is not your thing, then you can purchase them fairly inexpensively at your local craft store. For a wonderful escort card display, write guest’s name on the front of the sand dollar and their table number on the back. Now simply find a wonderful tray or box and fill it with sand. Bury the sand dollars in the sand a little and adorn the free space in the box with beautiful shells and starfish. This makes a breathtaking escort card display. Plus, the sand dollars can serve double duty as the guests’ favor!

Spice Up Your Favors!

salt and pepper

Here is a cute way to shake things up! These little salt and pepper shakers serve a double duty. For the wedding they are cute little candy holders. Then the guests can take them home to fill with salt and pepper. Each clear glass shaker is available in sets of two. You can even personalize the pair with a “Sprinkled With Love” sticker custom printed with your name or special message. A cute pun always makes things a little better!
