Candyland Centerpiece

kids candy

Decorations for the kids tables are often hard to find. You can not have something breakable. Also, you probably do not want to spend a ton of money on a flower centerpiece from your florist, since the children will not even care what they look like.  One option is to make a colorful centerpiece out of candy. The kids are sure to LOVE this centerpiece. Plus, it can serve as their favor as well. Dylan Lauren, owner of confection megastore Dylan’s Candy Barmade made this sweet centerpiece. To create this look simply fill plant pots with Conversation Hearts, jelly beans, rock candy and Red Hots and nest lollipops in the mix. It’s beautiful and a sure fire hit with the kids!

Gifts that Measure Up!

ducky

Most of the time measuring cups and spoons  live little room for excitment, but not these!  I first spotted these on the Hostess with the Mostess blog and then ran across them again on the Anthropology site. The little geese and giraffes seemed to be calling my name! So, I decided to share them with everyone because they would make for a unique wedding shower gift! Who else do you think is going to have a gift this cool? No one!

April Fools!

corn cupcakes

If you are looking for a great dessert idea for April Fool’s Day then I have just the thing for you! These cupcakes are one sweet trick! They are made to look like corn on the cob but are actually a lot better. The cupcakes are made by placing three cakes to together and garnishing the top with varying colors of yellow jelly belly’s. The butter is made of a slightly melter fruit chew and then the “corn” is sprinkled with green candy sugar. They are so cute and are sure to steel the show at an April bridal shower or even a BBQ themed shower. Simply adorible!!!! Check them out!!!

I am sure they will really appreciate getting something yummy in their bellies too. Not to mention, it is soooo cute!!!!
