No Last Minute Facials

facial

Facials sound like a great idea right before your wedding. They are relaxing and they clean your pores. So what could be bad about them? Actually, if you want to get a facial you need to get them regularly starting at least 3-6months before your wedding. A facial brings all of the dirt and crud up to the surface and can make you break out before your face actually clears up. So you may want to skip the last minute facials unless they are apart of your regular routine. If you are trying to clear your face up, check with your Esthetician or dermatologist to determine the best routine for you to follow.

Parasol Seating Cards

umbrella seating

These cheerfully colored umbrellas are perfect for a beach themed wedding. Place these little cuties in a tray full of sand and adorn them with the seating arrangements for you guests. You will need a 1-inch-deep tray, a sheet of 1/4-inch foam board cut to fit into bottom of the tray, and some sand. Lay the foam board in the tray, and cover with sand. Drizzle sand unevenly, sifting a bit more here and there to form dunes. Print your seating assignments onto colored paper, and cut them into strips; glue strips to the shafts of the umbrellas. Poke the umbrellas through the sand into the foam board at an angle so guests can easily find their names.Source

The Perfect Jeans for Your Body Type

jeans

Petite: You major focus should be to elongate your body. Choose jeans that are fitted. Jeans with a little stretch in them will be perfect. Stay away from wide leged jeans because they will not improve your proportion. Also stay away from short or a medium waisted jean. Low rise and hip huggers are okay only if they don’t make your legs look short. On the other end of the spectrum, steer away from high waisted jeans because they will only make you look shorter than you are. To give your legs an even longer appearance have the hem line hit the floor and wear heels.

Curvy Lower Body:  To make your hips appear smaller stick to hip-huggers and low rise jeans. Darker jeans will help minimize your lower half and a boot cut, flared leg, or wide leg will proportion your figure. The key for jeans to look the best is to have a long hem line. Your hemline should at least hit the bottom of your ankle and if you plan on wearing heels the hem line should hit the floor when standing flat footed. Seven jeans provide a great fit.

Tall and Slender: If you are tall and slender your goal is to give the illusion of curves. To give the illusion of curves wear cigarette jeans or tapered jeans. Because they are closer to the calves they will make your hips look wider and give the illusion of curves. Your goal is to stay away from anything too tight. Tight jeans will make your legs look even skinnier. Also stay away from anything too loose because it will not make your appearance look proportional. Hip-huggers and relaxed fit jeans are acceptable. Boot-cut and slight flares will also create the illusion of curves.

Full Rounded Body:  To hide your middle portion, choose a jean that is higher waisted. A pair of relaxed, medium-waist jeans with straight legs is perfect for your figure. You also want jeans that follow the shape of your body but do not hit every curve. Also stay away from jeans with too much stretch and is fitted from waist to leg. These will not be flattering for your body type. If you are trying to camouflage your middle section stay away from jeans that that tie, have pleats or an elastic waistband, or are decorated in front. These will only draw attention to your belly.

Big Bottom: If you have a bigger bottom, watch out for pockets! Pockets that are small, too high or close together, or decorated can make a large bottom look even bigger. Also, choosing jeans that have no pockets at all will draw attention to that area. The best jeans for you will be those that have wide, long pockets that rest wide and low on your bottom. Low rise jeans with a flared leg will give you the illusion of a smaller behind and balance out your shape.

Orchids have a beautiful look that is unprecedented. This centerpiece option is a perfect example. This simple look is made by arranging one large vase filled with orchids in the middle of three smaller vases. The smaller vases contain orchids in the bottom and are filled with water and a floating candle to create a magnificent glow. This is such a simple look that really lets the beauty of the flower shine through! Pic

How to Cover Dark Circles

Dark under-eye circle can be a real pain and for those of us with allergies or bad heredity we have to battle the raccoon eyes everyday. No girl wants to have dark circles on her wedding day! So here is some tips to  hide those hideous monsters.

  1. You have to us an under-eye moisturizer. This will keep the concealer from caking up on you. Plus it will help fight those wrinkles if you buy the right one.*wink*

  1. Now you have to find the right concealer. You will want a concealer that has a yellow or orange tone, and is one shade lighter than your foundation. This color will hide that blueish-purple tint that normal color concealer can leave behind.

  1.  When applying the concealer, do not apply only under the eye. You should apply it all around the eye area, and be sure to blend well. Use your fingertips to dab a little concealer under the eyes, starting on the inside edge and blending out. Set the concealer with a light dusting of translucent face powder so that it stays put. And to avoid drawing attention to your under-eye area, don’t apply eyeliner or mascara to your lower lashes.

  1. Usually the corner of your eye is the darkest part. You can counteract this by using a white shimmer pencil. Some companies manufacture a blueish or white pencil just for this purpose.

Why use a Toner

washing face

Toners

A toner is a skin care product that you apply to the face after you cleanse and before you moisturize. Toners can also be classified as fresheners and astringents. Toners are supposed to restore the pH balance of the skin, remove any makeup that was not fully removed, or any soap residue. Toners leave skin feeling very refreshed and clean. There are also toners that claim to help fight the aging process and to help prevent and clear blemishes.

Choosing a Toner If you decide to use a toner, it is important to know just what product is right for you. One of the best things that you can do to find a toner is to experiment with many different brands and formulas to find the toner that is ideal for you. Ask yourself questions like: Does the toner make my skin feel too oily or too dry? Does my skin feel clean and refreshed after I use it? Does it make my skin feel too tight? If your answers were good to all of these questions, then chances are that you have found a good toner for you.

Applying toner Not knowing when to apply their toner is one of the most commonly made mistakes. There is just the right time to apply the toner in the skin care process that many people aren’t aware of. You’ll want to cleanse the skin thoroughly and try to get rid of all traces of makeup. Pat face with a towel until skin is completely dry. Then apply a thin layer of toner with a cotton ball or sponge all over the face. Don’t pat dry, let the toner dry naturally. After the toner is completely dry, apply moisturizer. You should only use toner once a day, either in the morning or at night. If you use it more than once a day, it will leave the skin too dry.

Toner Tips

  • Don’t use toner more than once a day, especially if you have dry skin.

  • If you have dry skin, try using toner only every other day.

  • Find a toner that has very natural ingredients, some toners can have a high amount of chemicals in them.

  • Always apply moisturizer after you use toner, otherwise your skin will get very dry and feel tight.

  • Toner is supposed to make your skin feel refreshed, if it burns or gets becomes red, you are using the wrong toner.

  • Toner is suppose to make your skin feel clean, if your skin feels oily or have residue after use, try to find a new toner. Source
