Tips for best results
- Avoid semi-transparent designs. Semi-transparent graphics (or elements with lowered opacity) dont translate well in film printing. Use solid colors or simulate semi-transparency via halftoning.
Have some negative space in your design elements. Incorporate see-through elements to give your print a lighter feel. this reduces ink usage and creates a softer final result than large, solid-color designs.
DTF disclaimers
- Due to printing specifications, the white ink layer may remain visible under colored inks.
- Prints may initially feel stiff but will soften after a few washes. Breathability is lower with these prints.
- Film prints can develop small cracks if washed in hot water.
- Iron items inside out direct ironing can alter the prints color, especially affecting white elements.
- Small text should have a background color to help prevent peeling.
- Direct-to-film printing is excellent for photo-quality, full-color images higher image resolution delivers sharper, clearer results.
