Many people\u00a0 arrive at weddings early because they\u00a0 fear to be late. That leaves them sitting idly. Well, with this program design you can keep them entertained. It is also a great option to keep kids entertained as well! Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.bridalpartytees.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/steps-program.jpg\" alt=\"program steps\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"> Materials for DIY Wedding Programs:<br \/>\n&#8211; A2 sized folded cards (or cardstock cut to size and folded)<br \/>\n&#8211; Golf pencils, pre-drilled with holes wide enough for ribbon to pass through<br \/>\n&#8211; Popsicle sticks, also pre-drilled<br \/>\n&#8211; Scissors<br \/>\n&#8211; Needle with a large eye<br \/>\n&#8211; Corner rounder punch<br \/>\n&#8211; Double stick tape<br \/>\n&#8211; Thin ribbon<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Note: A2 is a great size because there\u2019s room for content, but they\u2019re not so big that they\u2019re floppy. If you go with a different size, make sure that when folded, the programs will be sturdy enough to write on.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Designing my programs was a snap with Microsoft Word. On the front, I put the basics &#8211; names, ceremony details, and bird graphics to match our wedding theme. To jazz up the back, I came up with three wedding related games for our guests to play while they waited for the ceremony to start: a Mad Lib, a fill-in-the-blank, and a word search.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">I had tons of ideas for games that I ran out of time to use. How about a crossword puzzle, Sudoku, maze, or connect the dots?<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Once you\u2019ve designed your programs (making sure to fit the card dimensions), print the front and back onto the outside of the cards. I used my regular inkjet printer and had no problems.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">To start assembling, open up a card and put double stick tape on three sides.<br \/>\nThen put double stick tape on both sides of a popsicle stick, covering about half of the stick. Center on the card and press in place.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Close the card, pressing to seal the edges.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Using the corner rounder punch, carefully round all four corners.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Cut a piece of ribbon that, when halved, is long enough to reach from the end of the popsicle stick to the end of the pencil, while still allowing enough slack to write on the program.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Thread the halved ribbon through the hole in the popsicle stick.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Use a lark\u2019s head knot to secure.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Thread the two cut ends of the ribbon of the ribbon through a golf pencil.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Knot the ends to secure, then trim.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.intimateweddings.com\/blog\/easy-diy-wedding-programs-tutorial\/\">Click here for source and more pics!<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\" align=\"left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/BridalPartyTees\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.bridalpartytees.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/twitter1gif.gif\" alt=\"Twitter\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is a super cute DIY project from Intimate Weddings that is sure to keep your guests entertained.
